Las Vegas - Former heavyweight champion Deontay Wilder was knocked out in the 11th round by WBC heavyweight champion Tyson Fury on Saturday night in front of a sold out crowd at the T-Mobile Arena.
Wilder was knocked around and battered throughout the fight against the champion. Fury knocked him down in the third round with a viscious blow to the face of Wilder. Wilder connected with his lethal right hand that sent Fury to the canvas twice in the fourth round.
The judges final score after the knock out was 95-92, 94-92, and 95-91 for Fury. Chrismckradio had it 95-91 for Fury.
Fury says after his win, he wanted to go over to give Wilder his respect and giving him a great fight, but Wilder refused to speak to Fury.
" It was a great fight tonight. It was worthy of any trilogy in the history of the sport. Wilder's a tough fighter. I always said I'm the best in the world and he's the second best. I'm a sportsman. I went over to show some love and respect, and he didn't want to show it back. So i pray for him."
Fury, 33, improves to (31-0-1, 22 KO's).
Wilder, 35, falls to (42-2-1, 41 KO's).
